Feedback requested re: Genometrax flatfiles (Biowulf)

We are considering the purchase of the GenomeTrax flatfiles from Biobase International for Biowulf users. Genome Trax contains unique, manually-curated data from peer-reviewed literature, and enables users to identify human genome variations of functional significance by mapping your NGS data to known elements such as disease mutations and regulatory sites. If the GenomeTrax flatfiles were available on Biowulf, users would be able to write a script or program that searches the GenomeTrax data for functional variations for user-specified genomic coordinates. Note that this purchase would _not_ include access to the Genometrax web interface at the Biobase site. You can see a sample of the GenomeTrax flatfiles on Biowulf in /fdb/genome_trax_sample/ More info about GenomeTrax: http://www.biobase-international.com/index.php?id=600 Given the high cost of GenomeTrax, we would like to estimate the need and usage before coming to a decision. If you are interested in using this product as part of your pipeline on Biowulf, please send us email with a brief description of your expected usage. Susan Chacko Helix/Biowulf Staff
