Date: 26 July 2011 11:07:04From: Richard Lehr (rl@HELIX.NIH.GOV)
As announced previously, the second phase of the Biowulf Continuous Power Project will commence on Wednesday, 27 July at 6 pm. This stage of the maintenance will affect all "e2666:c8:g24" and "e2666:c8:g72" nodes only. Beginning this afternoon, 26 July 2011, the aforementioned nodes will be set offline which means currently running jobs will continue to run, but those nodes will accept no further new jobs. Late Wednesday afternoon, 27 July 2011, one half of those nodes will be powered down. Any jobs still running on those nodes at that time will be deleted. These nodes should be back online by no later than Thursday morning. Late Thursday afternoon, 28 July 2011, the other half of those nodes will be powered down. Any jobs still running on those nodes at that time will be deleted. These nodes should be back online by no later than Friday morning. Jobs not running on these nodes will not be affected. Queued jobs will not be affected. The Biowulf login node and user /home and /data directories will remain available.
