Upcoming NIH-Only MATLAB Training Events (Helix)
Date: 06 May 2010 14:05:50From: Helix Systems Staff (staff@HELIX.NIH.GOV)
MATLAB is a popular mathematical modeling and visualization application available to users of the NIH Helix system and the Biowulf cluster. The Mathworks, developers of MATLAB, is sponsoring two NIH-only events, one on May 11th and the other on June 2nd. Follow the links below to register for either or both of these web-based demonstrations. Helix Systems Staff May 11, 2010 11:00 - 12:00 Creating MATLAB-based Freeware using the Helix M= ATLAB Compiler (Webex) You are invited to this Webex, which will demonstrate how the MATLAB Compiler can be used to create stand-alone executables, or .dlls. The NIH Helix System currently has a Free evaluation license of the MATLAB Compiler and is looking for scientists and researchers to use and provide feedback on the value and benefits of this tool to their research. This one-hour Webex will demonstrate how easy it is to create royalty-free applications from your MATLAB code. If you would like to share your work with others who don't have MATLAB (create Freeware), or embed MATLAB functionality within other software, you are encouraged to register today and try the MATLAB Compiler. www.mathworks.com/company/events/seminars/seminar49869.html June 2, 2010 9:00 - 12:00 Introduction to MATLAB hands-on Tutorial. (Instr= uctor-led Webex) The MathWorks is glad to offer our free, introductory training via Webex. This class is great for new users, scientists, researchers, and managers who would like to improve their scientific insight and accelerate their projects with MATLAB. Below are the topics covered: * Importing Data * Handling Data, Visualizing results * Surface and Curve Fitting * Creating functions and scripts to automate analysis * Generating reports * Creating Graphical User Interfaces www.mathworks.com/company/events/seminars/seminar49886.html To insure high quality interaction with the Instructor, attendance is limited, so please do not delay registration.
