Followup: Mandatory Password Encryption for Helix Email (Helix)
Date: 24 May 2007 09:05:42From: The Helix Systems Staff (staff@helix.nih.gov)
To Helix Email users, In order to provide additional time for you to make the necessary changes to your Email clients, the deadline for implementing the new mandatory password encryption policy has been extended to Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 8:00 AM. Please follow this link for instructions on how to modify your Email client configuration: http://support.nih.gov/program_updates/KBdocs/email/POP_IMAP_SSL.htm Please note: * The encryption feature in Eudora version 5.2 and earlier does not work, therefore Eudora users must upgrade to the latest version (7.1 for Windows, 6.2 on the Mac) * Users who read their Helix Email with Outlook must also change their client configuration. If for any reason you are unable to make the necessary changes by the deadline and need to access your Helix email, the web-based SquirrelMail service (http://helix.nih.gov/mail) can always be used.
